Balanced Rock in Nova Scotia province Digby at the height of 30 feet (about 9.14 meters), is a columnar basalt, gradually formed by the cliff face in millions of years of erosion process. Recently, Digby built armrest and sidewalks, visitors can more safely and enjoy the wonderful natural landscape.
First visit to the Balanced Rock tourist Valli Hayes said: "close, I was shocked at the sight, the heart not by a fear. Through a horizontal cracks narrow, I appreciate the balanced rock beneath the scene, saw the vast ocean. The rock column does not seem to be too much dependence on the standing rock, the bottom part is to support the rock away. It is like a standing straight pencil, only half standing on the edge of the table, the other half is no support. But it is not a pencil so simple, but a number of tons of rock."
